Strategy
A high-pressure checkout. Hit T20, T14, D16 in sequence. Focus on the trebles first — if you miss, you may still leave yourself a workable finish. If your T20 lands in S20, you're left on 114 with 2 darts to go. A miss sideways into the 5 or 1 segments changes the equation significantly. If your T14 lands in S14, you're left on 60 with 1 dart to go. A miss sideways into the 11 or 9 segments changes the equation significantly. You'll encounter 134 frequently in competitive 501 and 301 play.
Alternative Routes
The standard route T20 → T14 → D16 is the most commonly used combination for 134.
Pro Tip
Finishing on D16 is the gold standard in darts. If you miss into S16, you halve to D8. Miss D8 into S8? You're on D4. This cascading safety net is why top players always try to set up a D16 finish.
