TALLYPALLY

The best darts app for friend groups

From a Finnish garage to the world

TallyPally was built by Aku Nikkola and his group of friends in Finland — an app they made for themselves. TallyPally accidentally turned out so good that dozens of clubs and hundreds of players were soon lining up — from Finland's biggest darts names to casual newcomers just picking up the sport.

Aku and his friends had been struggling with existing darts apps for a long time. None of them felt quite right. Some were too stripped down, others were bloated with features nobody asked for.

All they wanted was a simple way to keep score and compete against each other. So Aku decided to build their own app. The first feature, alongside scoring, was an ELO ranking system — borrowed from chess, esports, and table tennis. From there, the app has been developed step by step, usually with Aku coding on his laptop during darts nights, building what the others ask for.

Today, TallyPally tracks every stat from every match, supports tournaments and leagues, and lets you watch your friends' matches live from your couch. All development is driven by player feedback and requests.

Even as TallyPally keeps growing, the goal remains the same: to help friend groups like Aku's fall in love with darts and compete against each other.
