2-dart checkout

T15
D8
MediumTreble + Double

Strategy

A two-dart checkout: T15, D8. Hit the treble first to set up the double. If your T15 lands in S15, you'll need 61 with 2 darts remaining. A miss sideways into the 10 or 2 segments changes the equation significantly. You'll encounter 61 frequently in competitive 501 and 301 play.

Alternative Routes

The standard route T15 → D8 is the most commonly used combination for 61.

Pro Tip

D8 is part of the D16 halving chain and a well-practiced double for most players. Missing into S8 leaves D4, keeping you in the halving sequence. It's located on the left side of the board.
