Strategy
A two-dart checkout: T12, D8. Hit the treble first to set up the double. If your T12 lands in S12, you'll need 52 with 2 darts remaining. A miss sideways into the 9 or 5 segments changes the equation significantly. 52 is a common finishing score that appears in nearly every leg of 501 or 301.
Alternative Routes
Besides T12 → D8, alternative routes include: S12 → D20. The best choice depends on which area of the board you're most confident in.
Pro Tip
D8 is part of the D16 halving chain and a well-practiced double for most players. Missing into S8 leaves D4, keeping you in the halving sequence. It's located on the left side of the board.
