Strategy

At 167, you need T20, T19, and Bull. This is the second-highest checkout and arguably harder than 170 because it requires switching between two different treble targets before hitting the bull. The move from the T20 area at the top of the board down to T19 on the left side demands a significant adjustment in your throw. Professional players sometimes prefer starting with T19 first to finish on the more natural T20-to-Bull sequence. If your first dart hits S20 instead of T20, you're left on 147 — still a challenging but possible three-dart finish.

Alternative Routes

Besides T20 → T19 → Bull, alternative routes include: T19 → T20 → Bull. The best choice depends on which area of the board you're most confident in.

Pro Tip

The bullseye requires pinpoint accuracy at the center of the board. It's the smallest target area and counts as a double. Approach it with a slightly lofted throw arc to compensate for the central position.
