164
3-dart checkout
Strategy
The 164 checkout (T20, T18, Bull) is a classic high-pressure finish that spans the full width of the dartboard. Your first dart targets T20 at the top, then you need to move to T18 on the right side of the board, and finally hit the bullseye in the center. The diagonal movement from T18 to Bull can be tricky. An alternative route is T19, T19, Bull if you're more comfortable grouping your first two darts in the same area of the board. If your opening T20 lands in the single 20, you'll need 144 (T20, T20, D12) — a more manageable finish.
Alternative Routes
Besides T20 → T18 → Bull, alternative routes include: T19 → T19 → Bull. The best choice depends on which area of the board you're most confident in.
Pro Tip
The bullseye requires pinpoint accuracy at the center of the board. It's the smallest target area and counts as a double. Approach it with a slightly lofted throw arc to compensate for the central position.
