Strategy
A high-pressure checkout. Hit T20, T17, D8 in sequence. Focus on the trebles first — if you miss, you may still leave yourself a workable finish. If your T20 lands in S20, you're left on 107 with 2 darts to go. A miss sideways into the 5 or 1 segments changes the equation significantly. If your T17 lands in S17, you're left on 50 with 1 dart to go. A miss sideways into the 2 or 3 segments changes the equation significantly. You'll encounter 127 frequently in competitive 501 and 301 play.

The standard route T20 → T17 → D8 is the most commonly used combination for 127.
Pro Tip
D8 is part of the D16 halving chain and a well-practised double for most players. Missing into S8 leaves D4, keeping you in the halving sequence. It's located on the left side of the board.
