124
3-dart checkout
Strategy
A high-pressure checkout. Hit T20, T14, D11 in sequence. Focus on the trebles first — if you miss, you may still leave yourself a workable finish. If your T20 lands in S20, you'll need 124 with 3 darts remaining. A miss sideways into the 5 or 1 segments changes the equation significantly. If your T14 lands in S14, you'll need 64 with 2 darts remaining. A miss sideways into the 11 or 9 segments changes the equation significantly. You'll encounter 124 frequently in competitive 501 and 301 play.
Alternative Routes
Besides T20 → T14 → D11, alternative routes include: T20 → S16 → D18. The best choice depends on which area of the board you're most confident in.
Pro Tip
D11 is positioned between D8 and D14 on the board. Practice this specific double to build confidence for match situations.
