123
3-dart checkout
Strategy
A high-pressure checkout. Hit T19, T16, D9 in sequence. Focus on the trebles first — if you miss, you may still leave yourself a workable finish. If your T19 lands in S19, you'll need 123 with 3 darts remaining. A miss sideways into the 3 or 7 segments changes the equation significantly. If your T16 lands in S16, you'll need 66 with 2 darts remaining. A miss sideways into the 7 or 8 segments changes the equation significantly. You'll encounter 123 frequently in competitive 501 and 301 play.
Alternative Routes
The standard route T19 → T16 → D9 is the most commonly used combination for 123.
Pro Tip
D9 is positioned between D14 and D12 on the board. Practice this specific double to build confidence for match situations.
