Strategy
A two-dart checkout: T18, D8. Hit the treble first to set up the double. If your T18 lands in S18, you're left on 52 with 1 dart to go. A miss sideways into the 1 or 4 segments changes the equation significantly. You'll encounter 70 frequently in competitive 501 and 301 play.
Alternative Routes
Besides T18 → D8, alternative routes include: T10 → D20. The best choice depends on which area of the board you're most confident in.
Pro Tip
D8 is part of the D16 halving chain and a well-practised double for most players. Missing into S8 leaves D4, keeping you in the halving sequence. It's located on the left side of the board.
