A three-dart checkout requiring a treble. Aim for T20, T12, D8. The treble is the key dart — hitting it sets up a straightforward finish. If your T20 lands in S20, you'll need 112 with 3 darts remaining. A miss sideways into the 5 or 1 segments changes the equation significantly. If your T12 lands in S12, you'll need 52 with 2 darts remaining. A miss sideways into the 9 or 5 segments changes the equation significantly. You'll encounter 112 frequently in competitive 501 and 301 play.
Alternative Routes
Besides T20 → T12 → D8, alternative routes include: T20 → S12 → D20. The best choice depends on which area of the board you're most confident in.
Pro Tip
D8 is part of the D16 halving chain and a well-practiced double for most players. Missing into S8 leaves D4, keeping you in the halving sequence. It's located on the left side of the board.
