Strategy
A high-pressure checkout. Hit T20, T18, D20 in sequence. Focus on the trebles first — if you miss, you may still leave yourself a workable finish. If your T20 lands in S20, you're left on 134 with 2 darts to go. A miss sideways into the 5 or 1 segments changes the equation significantly. If your T18 lands in S18, you're left on 76 with 1 dart to go. A miss sideways into the 1 or 4 segments changes the equation significantly. You'll encounter 154 frequently in competitive 501 and 301 play.
Alternative Routes
Besides T20 → T18 → D20, alternative routes include: T18 → T20 → D20. The best choice depends on which area of the board you're most confident in.
Pro Tip
D20 (tops) is the most practised double, but missing inside to S20 leaves you on 20 (D10) — still a clean single-dart finish. Train this double by focusing on the very edge of the board.
